AKC Winter Classic Weekend: Two Selects + a New Title for Roxy
Last weekend at the Alberta Kennel Club Winter Classic, Roxy delivered the kind of weekend that reminds you why you do all the early mornings, packing lists, ring nerves, and last-minute grooming touch-ups.
Roxy earned two Select awards, a result I’m especially proud of because it reflects more than a single great moment — it’s a sign of growing consistency, quality, and ring presence as she matures. As if that wasn’t enough, Roxy also earned her CGN (Canine Good Neighbour) title. This one matters deeply to me. While the show ring celebrates structure and movement, CGN recognizes what we live with every day: steadiness, good manners, and temperament. It’s a title that aligns perfectly with what we value at Verve — a dog who can shine in the ring and be a joy at home and in the community.
I’m proud of Roxy — and proud of our teamwork. We’re taking what we learned, keeping the momentum, and looking ahead to what’s next.
